For the first time, NOOR photographer Bénédicte Kurzen will present her series ‘Lake Chad Basin’ which explores ongoing violence in the region in the wake of Boko Haram with TJ Boulting (Stand 39).
As an addition of her work on show, she will talk about her project on Friday, September 21, at 4 P.M. in the UNSEEN Living Room, as part of the UNSEEN Premieres.
Bénédicte Kurzen will be exhibiting her work as part of a 3 year project with 10 Ghanaian and international photographers that created a visual documentation of "Northern Ghana Life", in cooperation with Nuku Studio and Noorderlicht.
Andrea Bruce's project A Place to Go: Sanitation and Open Defecation will be exhibited this year's edition of Visa Pour l'Image.
The Centro Cultural La Moneda will be the host of Kadir van Lohuizen's exhibtion "Where Will We Go" showing the human consequences of the rising sea levels around the world. The exhibition is graciously supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chile.

In 2050, 70 percent of the world population will live in a city. Together they produce an enormous amount of waste, which a lot of metropolises are already unable to process. Kadir van Lohuizen documented the main waste streams in 6 metropolises Tokyo, Japan, New York, Jakarata, São Paolo, Lagos and Amsterdam.
His exhibition is part of the program of We Make The City Festival, the largest city festival in Europe, taking place from 20 to 24 June, tackling the issue of urban living.
On the roads of the entire world, photographers testify to the realities and stakes of an era. With the exhibition Unframed, Brassage Photographique and NOOR wish to offer a new event to these visual change makers thanks to whom photography continues day after day to forge our representation of the World. Unframed is an exhibition, crossed-visions of international committed photographers, who by their singular writings, decipher the great issues of our time. At the heart of this program, women, victims of violence and inequalities but also empowering, leading revolutions reshaping our societies and reinforcing ou desire to take action.
We partnered up with PHmuseum and Native Agency to create the online exhibition "On Womanhood" which celebrates the work of nine female-identifying visual artists and journalists, including NOOR's Andrea Bruce, Benedicte Kurzenand Tanya Habjouqa, curated by Laura Beltrán Villamizar.
We are proud to share that Sanne De Wilde's award-winning project "The Island of the Colorblind" will be on tour around Europe this summer. Come and explore this dreamful world of colorful possibilities.
