In 2050, 70 percent of the world population will live in a city. Together they produce an enormous amount of waste, which a lot of metropolises are already unable to process. Kadir van Lohuizen documented the main waste streams in 6 metropolises Tokyo, Japan, New York, Jakarata, São Paolo, Lagos and Amsterdam.
His exhibition is part of the program of We Make The City Festival, the largest city festival in Europe, taking place from 20 to 24 June, tackling the issue of urban living.

Using Washington D.C and New York’s Trump Tower as a backdrop, Triumph of the Shill, reimagines the Leni Riefenstahl Nazi classic as an aesthetic blueprint to consider the 2017 presidential inauguration and the election of Donald J. Trump.
Director Bio: Nina Berman is a photographer, author and filmmaker creating work around politics, ideology and militarism in the U.S. She was a 2010 Whitney Biennial artist and teaches documentary photography and film at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

On Womanhood - Online Exhibition
We partnered up with PHmuseum and Native Agency to create the online exhibition "On Womanhood" which celebrates the work of nine female-identifying visual artists and journalists, including NOOR's Andrea Bruce, Benedicte Kurzenand Tanya Habjouqa, curated by Laura Beltrán Villamizar.
