The world population has just reached seven billion. Rapid urbanization in the last fifteen years has been accompanied by an increase in slum settlements. Fleeing conflict, extreme poverty, natural disasters or looking for better opportunities, every year, millions of people converge towards cities and end up living in slums. With this group project, realized in collaboration with MSF, five NOOR photographers’ give a view into the living conditions in urban settlements, showing what is at stake globally for the world’s urban population. Climate Change by NOOR is a long term group project that focuses two issues. The first, Consequences by NOOR is an eyewitness record of the devastating effects of climate change around the globe.
