Foam - Photography Museum Amsterdam - presents Black Passport, an exhibition by and about the American photographer Stanley Greene (New York, 1949). The exhibition expresses what it is like to be a conflict photographer in images, text and sound.

The opening of Black Passport takes place on Thursday 15 December at 5.30pm.

EXHIBITION DATES: 16 December 2011 – 5 February 2012

ADDRESS: Foam, Keizersgracht 609, 1017 DS Amsterdam, NL, www.foam.org

Black Passport shows photos of wars and disasters, combined with images of Greene’s private life. The result is a revealing portrait of a photographer addicted to the adrenaline rush of being on the move, but one who also realizes the personal sacrifices that come with it.

Stanley Greene has photographed in the former Soviet Union, Central America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
